Project Overview
The Wellness Corner wanted to quickly launch a digital wellness web platform and iOS & android applications. Instead of going through the lengthy and costly process of hiring full-time employees across multiple tech roles, they chose to partner with Competenza through IT staff augmentation.
Our dedicated team of designers, developers, and quality specialists joined forces with The Wellness Corner’s internal team. Over 18 months, we built and launched a user-friendly platform from scratch, regularly adding new features and improvements every week.

Problem Statement
The Wellness Corner was looking to build a brand-new wellness platform with intuitive mobile apps and a responsive web experience. As a healthcare platform, The Wellness Corner needed HIPAA-compliant architecture to protect sensitive user data. They also wanted to introduce AI-driven wellness suggestions tailored to each user’s activity and health inputs.
They required a dedicated team to handle design, development, and testing effectively, without the delays and costs associated with hiring full-time employees.
Their key requirements included:
Developing intuitive and engaging mobile and web applications entirely from scratch.
Creating a clean, user-friendly interface that encourages regular usage.
Integrating essential wellness features, corporate wellness dashboards, and secure third-party services.
Ensuring robust data security and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Establishing a reliable process for releasing new features every week without compromising quality or timelines.
Our Approach
To meet the project goals, we put together a dedicated team that worked as an extension of The Wellness Corner’s product group.
This included UI/UX designers to shape the look and feel, full-stack developers to build out the platform, a mobile engineer to handle the app experience, and QA experts to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Our team joined daily stand-ups, used shared communicaton tools for updates, and ran all releases through a common AWS CI/CD pipeline. We shared progress through regular demos and used sprint retrospectives to keep improving how we worked together.
It was a fully collaborative process from start to finish, with our team embedded as a natural part of theirs.

What We Built
Starting from the ground up, we designed and developed both the website and mobile apps for the brand, making sure the experience was consistent, easy to use, and accessible across devices.
Here’s a closer look at what we delivered:
A corporate wellness dashboard where HR teams can create challenges, assign incentives, and track participation across their workforce.
Tech Stack Used
To build a seamless experience across web and mobile, we used a modern, scalable tech stack that balanced performance, reliability, and development speed.
Each choice supported the goal of fast releases, smooth user interactions, and easy integration with third-party services.

Project Results
The collaboration between The Wellness Corner and Competenza delivered strong, measurable outcomes—both in terms of product performance and user engagement.
The platform is also well-aligned with the growing demand in the corporate wellness space, especially in the Middle East and Africa—where the market is projected to reach USD 5.2 billion by 2030.
